The Clinical Supervisor plans, organizes and directs home care services and is experienced in nursing, with emphasis on community health education. The supervisor nurse builds form resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of individuals and families within their homes and communities. The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that care and services are delivered appropriately as well as the supervision of clinical personnel. Participates in continued quality assurance.
Five (5) years of nursing experience, three (3) of those years must be in Pediatrics. At least one (1) year of experience as a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Management position. Assumes responsibility for continued education and maintains skills. Demonstrates excellence in Pediatric Nursing, Demonstrates leadership ability. Demonstrates ability to implement administrative and organizational policies and procedure. Demonstrates ability to implement excellent interpersonal relations with all members of the HSC Home Care staff. Demonstrates knowledge of behavioral and scientific principles.
District of Columbia Registered Nurse licensure required. Current CPR or PALS certification. Certification in Pediatric Nursing, Rehab Nursing and/or Nursing Administration preferred.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Clinical supervision to field nursing staff as required.
