Health Services for Children with Special Needs, Inc. (HSCSN) provides complete care for children and young adults with disabilities and complex medical needs. To become a member of HSCSN, you or your child must receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits or have a SSI related disability.
Who can join HSCSN?
You may enroll in HSCSN if you are:
- Under 26 years of age
- Washington, DC residents
- Receiving SSI disability benefits or have an SSI-related disability. Visit the District of Columbia Department of Health Care Finance to learn more.
Do I have to join HSCSN?
The choice of whether to enroll in HSCSN is yours. If you choose not to join HSCSN, your child will remain in the Medicaid fee-for-service program.
